I have figured out how to customize my blog, thanks to Tori ... I'm not quite sure if my current look is what I'm lookin for ... I'm sure I'll change it a few more times before I'm satisfied! heh And then I'll change it some more ...

It is so cold and windy outside today ... poor heating unit outside just can't quite keep up today. I know, I know ... I can hear you Northerners grumbling, "she don't know what cold IS!" Well, I remember what cold is .. I just don't LIKE it! Anything below 40 outside is unacceptable to me these days. I'm SO ready for Spring. Screw the groundhog, anyway.

Today and tomorrow are my late days at work ... it's my understanding that they are "trimming" late staff and possibly changing my late days to Tues and Wed instead of Wed and Thurs. Doesn't really make much of a difference to me since I work from home, except when they require me to come into the office, it always seems to be on Tuesdays, and I REFUSE to drive to Atlanta to work till 11pm ... I don't get home till nearly 1am when I do that. Not sure what the solution to this one is, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

I just read the following article on foxnews.com:
SAN FRANCISCO — With an upgrade to its mobile maps, Google Inc. hopes to prove it can track people on the go as effectively as it searches for information on the Internet.

The new software to be released Wednesday will enable people with mobile phones and other wireless devices to automatically share their whereabouts with family and friends.

The feature, dubbed "Latitude," expands upon a tool introduced in 2007 to allow mobile phone users to check their own location on a Google map with the press of a button.

"This adds a social flavor to Google maps and makes it more fun," said Steve Lee, a Google product manager.

It could also raise privacy concerns, but Google is doing its best to avoid a backlash by requiring each user to manually turn on the tracking software and making it easy to turn off or limit access to the service.

What's next?

  1. Glad you're getting the hang of customizing your blog. :)

The definition of cold is different to different people. My hubby's from Canada, so you'd think he can deal with much colder than me before complaining, right? Wrong! He's even quicker to complain about the cold than my Nan, and she's usually the first one to grab for a wooly jumper and other warm items of clothing if the temperature drops. Where as I'm one of those that the cold doesn't bother. Even in the middle of Winter in Canada I was happy to be out in the cold and wind in only a light jacket (and even then I moaned because they made me do it right up and I was too warm). So if you think it's cold, take measures to warm yourself up... Never mind what others think... Unless they live with you, then you have to make allowances for them and if you're cold and they're not, grab a blanket and a jumper or something.

I'm not sure I like the idea of that map thing... What's next? They going to start giving us tracking chips like they do with some wild animals?
